Meet the Team
Our volunteers at Chesham in Bloom work all year round and their objective is clear: to improve and protect the local natural environment and enhance the town’s appearance for the enjoyment of residents and visitors alike.
Alongside the vital work of maintaining a vast number of planters and beds, Chesham in Bloom engages with many other community groups, schools and organisations to encourage interest in horticulture, promote environmental initiatives and engender civic pride.
There is plenty of opportunity for fun and friendship along the way, and volunteers regularly receive praise and thanks from passing residents when they are out working.
Regular Working Parties
There are twice-weekly working parties on Tuesday mornings and Sunday afternoons, with an additional Thursday evening group in the warmer months. The Sunday group was introduced this year in response to requests from working- age volunteers who wished to join Chesham in Bloom but could not attend during the week. This, coupled with a successful recruitment event at a plant sale in May, has resulted in several new members joining over the last few months.
